SUPPORTING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN THE ARTS

Sponsor A Master Class!

The SCV Theatre Project is currently serving over 70 COC students in our second series of Master Classes and workshops from top teachers and artists in the theatre.

This amazing summer theatre training program brings Internationally & Nationally recognized Master Teachers in all spects of theatre; Acting, Musical Theatre, Voice, Movement and more to local students and community members for community college prices. For a about $22.00 per unit students can study at COC with artists who would cost hundreds of dollars to study with individually. The cost of bringing these teachers to Santa Clarita is fully underwritten by the  SCV Theatre Project and our educational sponsors.

The program, in it's second year, is generously sponsored by Lou and Rita Garasi, McDonalds of Santa Clarita, and Melissa and Jerry Wharton, founders of the Appalachian Children's Theatre in Virginia. The Whartons were so impressed with the program, they brought four of their top students to observe the classes and attend private sessions with several of our teachers!

In the Fall, The Theatre Project will be bringing our classes east with a series of workshops supported by ACT and several Virginia arts organizations. It's very exciting for us as we bring top training to underserved communities on the west coast and on the east.

We are still seeking Educational Sponsors to Complete this Summer's program.
Sponsorship Opportunities
If you'd like to be a part of this summer's program or our new national ARTreach program, bringing arts training to all parts of the country, please contact either Mark or Andrea for details. Call 661-633-3550

For a $300 donation, you will be sponsoring one class in this summer's program. For $1000, you will be sponsoring a professional artist as they travel to Virginia this fall.
As one of the students from Appalachia said in a class this week, "The COC students don't know how lucky they are to have such amazing classes. We have nothing like this in our community."

The SCV Theatre Project is a 501C3 non profit corporation and your donation is tax deductible .
